All showcases, start times, and where to watch

Summer Game Fest has returned once more to fill the void left by the sad death of E3. This year’s edition, Summer Game Fest 2024, is stacked with showcases where we can expect plenty of big announcements and reveals for upcoming Game Pass games and Xbox exclusives. While the big Xbox Games Showcase will be the highlight for many, there are plenty of smaller events, such as the Wholesome Direct, which will provide a good dollop of indie-gaming goodness to look forward to.

To help you get a handle on all of the events, showcases, and streams, we’ve put together a complete Summer Game Fest 2024 schedule, which lists each showcase, when it starts, and where it can be watched.

Thursday, June 6

Guerrilla Collective Showcase

Thursday, June 6, sees the return of the Guerrilla Collective Online Showcase, which promises to reveal “fresh announcements, trailers, gameplay, and more from many of the world’s top developers and publishers.”

Friday, June 7

Access-Ability Summer Showcase 2024

The Access-Ability Summer Showcase returns for its second year on Friday, June 7. This event will showcase “recently released and upcoming video games made by disabled game developers, and featuring accessibility settings and design choices aimed to help ensure more disabled gamers are able to play.”

IGN Live

Kicking off on Friday, June 7, and running until Sunday, June 9, IGN is hosting its in-person event, IGN Live, which will also be livestreamed to its YouTube and Twitch channels. You can expect a bunch of announcements from the event, as well as an “in-depth interview” with Phil Spencer on June 9 following the Xbox Games Showcase.

Summer Game Fest 2024 Showcase

On Friday, June 7, Geoff Keighly officially kicks off SGF with the Summer Game Fest 2024 Showcase. The show is expected to run for around two hours and will feature reveals from some of the biggest developers and publishers in gaming.

Day of the Devs: Summer Game Fest Edition

Double Fine and iam8bit’s Day of the Devs: Summer Game Fest Edition follows immediately after the conclusion of the Summer Game Fest 2024 Showcase. Day of the Devs: SGF Edition will spotlight more than a dozen games from developers of all backgrounds.

Devolver Direct 2024

Devolver Digital’s annual Devolver Direct takes place on Friday, June 7. If you’ve watched any of Devolver’s showcases in the past, you’ll know to expect a less-than-conventional event, which will be peppered with new game reveals and updates.

Saturday, June 8

Future of Play Direct

Hosted by v-tuber Melios the Android, this year’s Future of Play Direct will bring “bold new launch announcements, trailers, and show-stopping galaxy premieres.” You can expect exclusive announcements from Trinket Studios, Texel Raptor, and Studio Pixel Punk, as well as updates from games such as Dungeon Crawler, Timberborn, Psychroma, Zodiac XXL, Airborne Empire, and more.

Wholesome Direct 2024

An “indie showcase celebrating emotionally resonant video games that inspire optimism, joy, and introspection,” Wholesome Direct 2024 premieres on Saturday, June 8, and promises an hour of exclusive footage and reveals from over 70 indie games.

Latin America Games Showcase

The Latin American Games Showcase returns on Saturday, June 8, with a 90-minute showcase that will highlight over 70 games from across the region and feature world premieres and exclusive announcements.

Women-Led Games Summer Game Fest Edition

The Women-Led Games Summer Game Fest Edition Showcase will show us “what’s next from Women-Led studios, exclusive deep dives, and launch date announcements” on Saturday, June 8.

Future Games Show Summer Showcase

The Future Game Show Summer Showcase is back for a 2024 outing on Saturday, June 8. Hosted by Roger Clark (Arthur Morgan, Red Dead Redemption 2) and Britt Baron (Tifa, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth), the event will showcase over 40 upcoming games.

Sunday, June 9

Xbox Games Showcase + Black Ops 6 Direct

It’s the one we’ve all been waiting for! Featuring upcoming Xbox games from across Activision, Blizzard, Bethesda, Xbox Game Studios, and third-party partners, the Xbox Games Showcase airs on Sunday, June 9. This showcase will be immediately followed by a deep dive into the next Call of Duty game, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.

PC Gaming Show

The PC Gaming Show returns for its tenth year on Sunday, June 9. According to PC Gamer, the showcase will feature world premieres, exclusive announcements, and developer interviews. Over 50 games will feature at this year’s show.

Monday, June 10

Ubisoft Forward

Ubisoft’s very own gaming showcase, Ubisoft Forward, airs on Monday, June 10, where we’ll be given exclusive looks at Star Wars outlaws, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, XDefiant, and more.
