Major Xbox Live outage now fixed, says Microsoft
After several hours of downtime. Microsoft says users should now be able to sign into Xbox Live once more.
Original story:
If you can’t connect to Xbox Live, you’re not alone. Players worldwide are reporting issues with the Xbox network, with many unable to sign in or play games.
Reports of an outage began sometime around 10 am PT/ 1pm ET/ 6pm BST, with many players encountering the “0x87DD0033” error message when trying to sign in.
The good news here is that Xbox Support has acknowledged the issue, saying it is “aware that some users have been disconnected from Xbox Live” and that the team is investigating, though that investigation is apparently “taking longer than expected.” As it stands, there is no timeline for a resolution.
For updates, keep an eye on the Xbox Status webpage or on the Xbox Support Twitter account.
