Bethesda’s latest trademark suggests Starborn could be next Starfield DLC

More Starfield achievements could be on the way with the upcoming Shattered Space story expansion, but although we still don’t have a date for this one, Bethesda’s new Starborn trademark could hint at what might be next for one of the best Xbox RPGs.

Starborn trademark could suggest direction of next Starfield DLC

The trademark, spotted by Timur222 on X, simply shows Bethesda’s parent company ZeniMax Media applied for the Starborn trademark. However, even without any announcement from Bethesda or any mention of Starfield itself, that’s still quite enough for Starfield fans to work with.

We know Bethesda has plans for annual Starfield expansions, with game director Todd Howard having said the team is already “planning for the one after” Shattered Space. No doubt this next expansion will be a long way off, since we’re still waiting for the Shattered Space release date, but (without going into spoilers) “Starborn” does have meaning for players who’ve progressed far enough in Starfield, and with its connections to the main story’s Constellation organization and its hunt for Artifacts, could definitely offer enough of a path to explore with future DLC. That being said, there has been no announcement or confirmation of what Starfield’s next DLC might be and no official follow-up to this trademark, so it’s worth bearing that in mind.

It’ll be interesting to see how players might fare with story DLC, given that when we looked at achievement data earlier this year, almost half of Starfield’s Xbox players hadn’t joined the main story faction. In the meantime, updates for the game continue, with the devs addressing mods on Xbox following “negative effects.”
