Welcome to the Into Indie Games walkthrough for Thalassa: Edge of the Abyss.

Go up the stairs from the stern-side Mess Hall now and use your bolt cutters to open the way to the Officer’s Deck cabins.

Officer’s Deck Cabins

First, head over to Thomas’ cabin.

• Messy schematics (schematics in a cabinet above the bunk)
• Demesvar photos (stack of photos floating above an open chest)
• Rambling Letters (lying on work desk to the left of the green cabinet)

From here, head over to Erik’s Office again.

• Infirmary key (key lying by the wall, to the left side of the desk, directly under the framed certificate)

We can now access the locked door in the Infirmary.

We’ll now make our way there, and use our bolt cutters one more time. Go down to the Main Deck and make your way back to the hub.

Main Deck

From the hub, enter the Infirmary and open the door to your immediate right.

Clues in Infirmary Office

• Prescriptions block (book on a shelf at the very end of the office)

We can now progress in a mystery.

Mystery: Something Wrong With Hans I

Cause for concern: Prescriptions block
Cause for concern: Heroin bottle

Return to the infirmary now and go through the door opposite the office.

Keep going until you get to the Cargo Bay area. Here, proceed down the catwalk until you get to the chains.

Use your bolt cutters to clear the way forward. Go through the unblocked area and then down the stairs.

Clues in Port-side Cargo Bay

• Mended hole (wooden beam lodged between hull and metal beam)
• Tossed cargo (diver bell lying opposite the stairs)

We can now proceed in some mysteries.

Mystery: Hull breach I

Underlying cause: Sudden stormfront
How did it happen?: Unsecured straps
How did it happen?: Tossed cargo

Mystery: Hull Breach II 1

Signs of responsibility: Shift rotation
Who was working?: Kaymar
Explanation of what happened: Kaymar’s complaint

Mystery: Hull Breach II 2

Signs of someone else there: Cufflink
Signs of work-issues: Work feud
Who was interfering?: Erik

This concludes our business in the Cargo Bay. If you pull up the map now, you’ll find that we have the Stern-side Mess Hall marked as a Crucial Area.

Make your way to the Mess Hall through the Main Hall and Isabel’s Office. Go up the steps through the gate.

Now we can finally make for the upper decks of the Thalassa. Return to the Main Hall.
