Retronauts Episode 642: Terry Pratchett’s Discworld
IT’S THE SCYTHE, ISN’T IT? PEOPLE ALWAYS NOTICE THE SCYTHE.
Forgive my ignorance, but I really haven’t experienced much British fiction featuring wizards. I saw the Lord of the Rings trilogy, although those movies celebrate New Zealand more than anything else. I read exactly one Harry Potter novel as an adult and saw no reason to continue. And back in the 90s, driven by my Monty Python fandom, I played Discworld on the Sega Saturn.
What I’m saying is I’d make a poor choice to hold a conversation about Sir Terry Pratchett’s fantasy epic. In my stead, Stuart Gipp hosts this episode about Discworld and its many incarnations across all forms of media. Joining Stu are Al Kennedy of the Desert Island Discworld podcast and returning guest Dave Bulmer.
Description: That doesn’t work. But this does! Stuart Gipp, Dave Bulmer and Desert Island Discworld’s Al Kennedy convene for Ankh-Mortalk. Now THAT doesn’t work.
