The Switch is featured somewhat prominently in Red One

Red One is a holiday movie that just hit theaters, and features The Rock, Chris Evans, Lucy Liu, J.K. Simmons and more. The movie is a rather star-studded affair, but it’s the gaming aspect of the movie that we’re interested in.

Turns out none other than the Switch gets multiple name-drops and appearances in Red One, as one child in the film is asking for a Switch game as a holiday gift. While the Switch is very much real, the game that’s mentioned isn’t. Most likely to avoid product placement overkill, the kid in the movie says they want Ultimate Vampire Assassin 4 for Switch.

Even though the game is fake, the team behind Red One took things seriously, as they even feature a Switch game box for Ultimate Vampire Assassin 4. All of this Switch love goes down early in the film, so if you go to check this one out in theaters, you won’t be waiting long to hear the Nintendo name drop.
