Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island Walkthrough – Part 1 (Hermes Level 1)

Welcome to the Into Indie Games walkthrough for Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island.
This walkthrough is based on the demo version of Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island. It will be updated to reflect the full version of the game once the game releases.
Note that there’s a lot to do in Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island that may not be covered in this walkthrough, such as decorating your living quarters. Be sure to explore the game thoroughly!

Intro
On gaining control of Alex, go east and follow the on-screen instructions to knock on the door.
Continue going east and then examine all three pieces of wreckage.
Near the wreckage, there’s some stone steps leading to a doorway. Go through this doorway.
Keep going east and then approach the ringing ‘phone’.
After the conversation, talk to Oracle again. After ending the second conversation with Oracle, you’ll learn that you must find “the Messenger”.
If you open the Ambrosidex, you’ll find that the Messenger is located to the southeast of where you are.
Head to that location now.
From this point on, you’ll be able to pick up Ambrosia fruit, which is basically swappable currency in this game. Pick up as much Ambrosia fruit as you can!
Interact with the seaplane when you get to it.
After this, open the Ambrosidex again to find that your next objective is to get to the lighthouse at the very south of the island.
Go there now.
Go up the lighthouse steps and enter the lighthouse.
Interact with the bench here to pass time until dawn.
Now head out of the lighthouse and make your way back to the seaplane.
Hermes Level 1
You’ll find the Messenger to the right of the seaplane. Talk to him and exhaust all the topics you have to talk about.
Ask him about the Favour to learn that he wants seagulls fed.
You can use your Ambrosidex map to locate the birds (they’re marked as blue birds).
Note that the furthest bird is located at Lighthouse Hill, on the beach.
Feed each of the four birds and then return to Hermes to talk to him.
After the conversation, you can now use the Ambrosidex radar to locate Hermes’ old mementos.
There’s two mementoes to find at the moment. On your map, you’ll find the regions of the mementoes flashing in yellow.
Go east to the Eastern Beach and follow the radar’s beeping to find a hidden door with one memento.
For the other memento, go to the Western Beach. Head in the direction where you started the game, and you’ll find the memento just west of the tower where you knocked the door initially.
Return to Hermes once you have both mementoes. Note that you might need to rest at a bench if it’s night, as Hermes is only out during the day.
Offer both the items you found to Hermes.
This should up your friend level with Hermes to 1.
You can now swap fruit with Hermes to acquire keys, and you can talk to Hermes about more topics. You can also see him in his seaplane now, even after it’s dark.
After you’re done, enter his seaplane and pick up the seal on the red cushion.
To use this seal, return to the Temple Approach, where you met the Oracle.
Go up the steps behind the Oracle and you’ll find the Temple itself.
Interact with the Temple door and then solve the puzzle by aligning all the circles so that they form a vertical golden line.
Enter the temple to conclude the demo to Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island.
