BabeAnoid 2.0 the best Arkanoid clone ever created for the Amiga! [New backdrops]
If you remember Arkanoid; an arcade game first developed by Taito in 1986, with the bat like device scrolling from side to side at the bottom of the screen, bouncing an orb back and forth and smashing blocks for a high score, then you are going to love this latest Commodore Amiga news story that’s just been sent to us. As we have been told that hexaae has released some brand new backdrops for the Commodore Amiga game of ‘BabeAnoid 2.0’ . A 2003 game by Richard Fhager that is regarded as the best Arkanoid on the Amiga with super polished graphics
It’s not very often I’m blown away by an Arkanoid clone, especially as so many have been released ever since the original came out in 1986. But BabeAnoid 2.0 is pretty special. Not only does it feature amazing graphics for the Commodore Amiga, but it will blow you away with plenty to do, and a banging soundtrack you’ll just want to turn the volume up.
As one person puts it through the LemonAmiga site “Amazing effort in AMOS, and shows what can be achieved if the effort is put in! The amazing thing is is that i am not rating this game with a high score because of its achievement in AMOS, or because of the one mans effort, or because he offers it for free… But because its a damn fine game worthy of praise and better than a lot of commercial games”
