Tokimeki Memorial: forever with you Emotional announced for Switch in Japan (UPDATE)
With almost every Nintendo Direct, there are a few announcements that are only shown in the Japanese airing of the presentation, and today was no exception. A remaster of a 1995 romance visual novel from Konami, Tokimeki Memorial: forever with you Emotional, has been announced for Nintendo Switch.
While an exact release date wasn’t shared, the game is confirmed to be releasing in Japan sometime next year. There is no word on if an English localization is in the works, but it seems quite unlikely given the trailer wasn’t in the western Direct.
UPDATE: A release date trailer for Tokimeki Memorial: forever with you Emotional has been shared, and it confirms a May 8th, 2025 launch for Japan. There will be a standard and deluxe editions available both physically and digitally, with the 9,680 yen deluxe edition including the following:
- digital content set featuring the opening movie without subtitles
- digital soundtrack with background music from Tokimeki Memorial (1994) and Tokimeki Memorial: forever with you Emotional (1995, 1996)
- gallery of over 280 character illustration used for key visuals
- merchandise
- other promotional content
