Avowed is finally here. While it officially launches on Xbox Series X|S and PC and drops into Xbox Game Pass on February 18, players who picked up the Premium Edition or Premium Upgrade could start their adventure early on February 13. We’ve been bouncing with anticipation for Obsidian Entertainment’s latest offering for months, and it certainly hasn’t disappointed, with Heidi saying it “fully embraces the fantasy elements for a wonderfully old-school RPG” in her Avowed review.
Set in the Pillars of Eternity universe, Avowed is a first and third-person RPG that takes players to the magical Living Lands as a godlike — someone blessed by one of Eora’s gods at birth. You need to investigate rumors of a plague known as the Dreamscourge, befriend several companions, and battle it out with all manner of creatures with an array of weapons from wands to flintlock pistols.
