The House of the Dead 2: Remake – Beta Demo | Alpha Beta Gamer
The House of the Dead 2: Remake is a faithful remake of SEGA’s classic arcade rail-shooter where two AMS agents investigate a small city that’s infested with monsters.
Following on from the events of the 1998 Curien Mansion incident in the first game, The House of the Dead 2: Remake sees agents James Taylor and Cary Stewart investigating a similar outbreak a couple of years after. What this means for you is plenty of undead monster-blasting rail-shooter fun, all with a graphical overhaul and remastered music.
The demo features one full level, complete with a boss, branching pathways and co-op mode. It’s a lot of fun and does a good job of recreating the thrill of a lightgun game while using a mouse or controller. The updated visuals look great and the dialogue is as entertainingly cheesy as ever. A well remade rail-shooter well worth pulling the trigger on.
