Nintendo fan spends two days walking to draw a GPS Mario tribute
Nintendo fans the world over celebrated MAR10 Day in all sorts of fun ways. Some played games from throughout Mario’s history, others worked on drawings and paintings to show their adoration, and one very dedicated fan set out on a two-day excursion for a one-of-a-kind tribute.
Guillaume Lazert fancies himself a GPS drawing expert, which means he uses the path he walks to draw digital artwork in step-tracking apps like Strava. In honor of MAR10 Day, Lazert set out on March 9th to start one of his most intricate pieces, and it ended up taking him two separate days to get the job done.
Lazert walked and biked an insane 68 miles all in the name of MAR10 Day, which he amassed over March 9th and 10th, 2025. The end result is the image you see above, which Lazert meticulously pieced together by walking in and around Paris. This digital tribute took Lazert 10.5 hours start to finish, and it has to be one of the most dedicated and involved showings of appreciation for Mario yet!
