New NES action adventure game Malasombra now on Kickstarter

The NES isn’t getting too many new games these days, but a few dedicated developers are still working to keep the console alive. The latest effort comes in the form of Malasombra, a brand new action adventure game for the NES that’s on Kickstarter right now.

As of now, Malasombra has already tripled its goal, which means it should be successfully funded without issue. According to the Kickstarter page, the game is already 100% finished, allowing for a quick production period with an estimated shipping date of August 2025. If you become a backer, you’ll be able to choose rewards such as a physical NES cartridge, or a digital ROM of the game.
