Pokémon TCG Pocket Is Adding Shiny Pokémon Soon!

Pokémon TCG Pocket is getting a big update with the addition of Shiny Pokémon! Bringing the sparkle, literally, The Pokémon Company has announced that Shiny versions are making their way into the digital card game with the Shining Revelry expansion.

When Are Shiny Pokémon Arriving in Pokémon TCG Pocket?

The Shining Revelry expansion is set to launch on March 27th, 2025. Shining Revelry is packing a ton of exciting additions, including over 110 new cards. You’ll be able to pull Shiny versions of favourites like Charizard ex, Lucario ex and Pachirisu.

In fact, the new digital format is going to make them shimmer when tilted. You can also snag a Shiny Charizard-themed display board and binder starting April 1st.

Apart from Shinies, Pokémon and Trainers from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are also joining in. And cards featuring Tatsugiri, Sprigatito, and Iono are making an appearance.

Also, new ex Starter Deck missions will be available from March 28th to April 27th. It will give you the chance to earn a deck ticket that can be exchanged for one of nine starter decks. On that note, catch a glimpse of the first batch of Shiny Pokémon in Pokémon TCG Pocket!

Shiny Pokémon have been a part of Pokémon TCG for a long time. Their first appearance was in the Neo Destiny set from the second generation of the games. Later, Hidden Fates set the standard for modern Shiny cards with its massive Shiny Vault.

Ranked Matches Are Finally Coming!

Yes, ranked matches are finally coming to Pokémon TCG Pocket. The first season kicks off on March 28th and runs until April 27th, featuring Shining Revelry cards. You’ll be matched against others with similar skill levels.
