Microsoft has not been shy about their shift in strategy when it comes to the Xbox brand. While the company will still put out Xbox-branded hardware, it’s clear they’re focusing more on software and distribution methods like Game Pass. As they continue that push into a software first mentality, it seems Nintendo fans can get ready to benefit.
We’ve already seen Xbox bring over a number of titles to the Switch, and a number of them have been quite successful. That’s why it should be no surprise to learn Microsoft has plans to continue that approach with Switch 2. We’ve already heard Microsoft share their excitement for the platform in general, and that interest is apparently going to materialize via some big-name games.
According to a feature from The Verge, Microsoft/Xbox will be bringing “a lot more titles appearing on both PS5 and Nintendo’s Switch 2” in 2025. Specifics on the games that are heading Switch 2’s way were not shared, but there have certainly been rumors about what to expect.
Could we already see the fruits of this plan come the April 2nd Nintendo Direct? Let’s keep fingers and toes crossed for that being the case!
