Mario Kart World lets you customize your kart with decals

Nintendo continues to sneak out details on their various games through the Nintendo Today app, and while Nintendo hasn’t specifically shared information on this mechanic, there’s no denying they’re slyly showing off a new element for karts in Mario Kart World.

The two images above come from Nintendo Today, and they show Bowser Jr. riding the same kart. The thing is, the two images show off different decals on the kart. It’s not clear just how you apply decals or if they’re only allowed in certain spots, but it seems pretty clear you’ll be able to enjoy some customization.

We also know that Mario Kart World will reward drivers for completing in-game achievements. During a recent Treehouse Live segment, we got to see that a “Birdo Jewelry” decal was given out for driving 300km in-game. This should mean that some decals will be quite easy to snag, while others will most likely require considerable work.
