The Hundred Line creator would like to tackle an anime adaptation

We’ve shared all kinds of interesting stories tied to The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy- both leading up to its launch and afterwards. We’ve heard about how development had to be restarted, how the developer is on the brink of bankruptcy due to creating the game, how the creator doesn’t think there will be another game like it ever…so on and so forth. Today brings us yet another tidbit about the game and what might be possible, but it all depends on how sales go from here.

The Hundred Line creator Kazutaka Kodaka has been fielding all sorts of questions about the title on social media, and it seems a decent number of fans have been hoping the game would get an anime adaptation. While nothing is in the works at the moment, Kodaka makes it clear that he’d like to see that happen as well.

If the game sells well, we’ll definitely turn it into an anime! To make that happen, I’m doing everything I can to bring more players to Hundred Line! If you think the game is interesting, please recommend it to the people around you!

Just as Kodaka has been saying all along, any expansion, sequel or off-shoots for The Hundred Line can only come to be if the main game sells well enough. We don’t know what the sales goals are for The Hundred Line, but hopefully the title is well on its way to securing some future projects.
