When it comes to Rockstar Games, everyone in the world right now is talking about Grand Theft Auto 6. The game, and its recent delay, are the talk of the industry, with many disappointed they’ll have to wait a whole year+ just to get hands-on with the title. We’ve got no clue if GTA VI will make its way to Switch 2 at some point, but rumor has it that another big-name game from the same developer may be heading over soon.
Multiple inside sources are claiming that Red Dead Redemption 2 is destined for Switch 2, and it could end up releasing sometime in 2025. This rumor is tied to a separate rumor about a next-gen patch for Red Dead Redemption 2 being in the works, which would relate to the game getting a spec bump-up for platforms like PS5 and Xbox Series X.
Rockstar obviously isn’t going to comment on such a rumor, but we do know that their parents company, Take-Two, is extremely bullish on Switch 2. Take-Two’s CEO has been praising both Nintendo and the Switch 2 lately, saying he feels “really good” about the platform and is a “big believer” in it. The publisher already has 4 titles lined up for Switch 2, and with those words of praise for the platform, a rumor of RDR2 coming Switch 2’s way seems all the more believable.
