Amazon and Nintendo have quite the odd relationship, at least here in the states. For years we’ve seen Amazon sell Nintendo products, and then all of a sudden they disappear. You can always find Nintendo hardware/software on Amazon, but sometimes the only options are from third party sellers. You never know when Amazon will start/stop selling Nintendo products directly, but today the pendulum has swung in our favor.
We’re not sure exactly when it happened, but sometime recently Amazon has once again started selling Nintendo products directly, at least in terms of software. Now you can go on Amazon’s website and find multiple first party Switch and Switch 2 titles that are both shipped and sold via Amazon. It’s a great thing to see for those who like to shop directly from Amazon and are wary of third party options.
What changed for Amazon to start selling Nintendo products again? Your guess is as good as ours. We’ve never even gotten an official explanation as to why the two companies butt heads so often. We likely never will get that reason, but at least we can finally buy our Nintendo software directly from Amazon once more.
…until the relationship sours again.
