2019’s Descenders was what many would call an absolute hit for developers RageSquid and publisher No More Robots. Over 15,000 Overwhelmingly Positive reviews on Steam arrived for the procedurally-generated mountain biking title, and so too, it turns out, has a sequel.
Descenders Next is finally here, shadowdropping and swaps the tyres for the boards, as things start to get a bit snowy on Game Pass, Xbox and PC!

Now available on Xbox and PC (on Game Pass for both also!), Descenders Next has officially launched into Game Preview, Xbox’s Early Access scheme.
The sequel has expanded the ways you can travel from bikes to all manner of downhill modes of transport. Snowboards make up the bulk of what you’ll be sitting atop, but mountainboards are also present, with further sports coming at a later date.
And now, you’ll be able to take part in races, challenges and more with up to 12 in an online lobby, ensuring that you’ll always be able to take bragging rights amongst your mates, if you’re up to the task.
What we particularly can’t wait to get stuck into when we review Descenders Next on Xbox, is the fact that all the lovingly crafted hand-created maps will be connected by procedurally generated terrain, making the world of Descenders Next connected in a unique way we’ve hardly seen before.
