Introduction
This is my very first mod for a Bethesda game, and it’s version 1.0. To ensure maximum stability, I’ve only implemented the most conservative features that are unlikely to cause any bugs.

Description
I’ve always found the in-game star map inconvenient to use. That’s why I created this mod, which essentially works as a shortcut system for gravity jumps. With it, you can instantly jump to several important star systems in the game using a terminal-style menu, without having to manually drag the map, find the system, select it, and hold the jump button.
What qualifies as an “important” star system? In this version, it includes the four major city systems and several frequently visited ones during my playthrough. The currently supported systems are:

  • Sol
  • Toliman
  • Alpha Centauri
  • Wolf
  • Cheyenne
  • Valo
  • Volii
  • Narion

To avoid making this mod feel too “cheaty,” the menu will only display systems you’ve already visited at least once. In other words, you can only quick-jump to a system if you’ve been there before.
When you jump, you’ll be placed in orbit around the default planet of that star system—similar to how the game behaves when you jump into a system without selecting a specific planet. For example, jumping to Alpha Centauri will put you in orbit around Jemison, and yes, the UC ship will still scan you for contraband. This mod won’t let you smuggle freely!

How to Use
First, craft a consumable item called “Gravity Jump Menu Activator” at any Industrial Workbench. It only requires 1 Aluminum, and don’t worry—it has unlimited uses.
Once you have this item in your inventory, any new star system you visit will be logged by the mod (up to a max of 120). This data allows the mod to determine whether a system is eligible for fast jumping. If you want to remove the stored data before uninstalling the mod or reduce your save file size, you can clear it via the mod’s settings menu.
To use the system, simply consume the Gravity Jump Menu Activator. This will open a terminal interface showing a list of eligible star systems. Click on one, and you’ll see a submenu listing notable locations and the orbital destination for the jump. Click the Gravity Jump button and exit the terminal to trigger the jump. You’ll be teleported into your ship’s cockpit.

Known Issues (Currently Investigating Fixes)

  • If you activate a gravity jump from inside your ship, you’ll be teleported to the cockpit, but the door to the rear section may visually bug out (e.g., stuck open/closed). This doesn’t happen when jumping from outside the ship.
  • Do not use this mod in locations where fast travel is normally disabled (e.g., caves, mission dungeons, space stations not owned by you). While I’ve added some safety checks, they may not perfectly match the game’s own logic, and you may trigger unintended bugs if you jump from such places. The safest place to use the mod is on a planetary surface.
  • After clicking the Gravity Jump button, the terminal menu will “soft freeze.” You won’t be able to interact with anything else until you exit the menu. This isn’t a functional bug but can affect immersion.
  • If you visit a system and go directly to an orbital POI or space station instead of entering a planet’s orbit, the mod may fail to record your visit. To ensure a system is logged properly, try orbiting a planet or moon at least once.
  • Due to my limited astronomy knowledge, the list of systems may appear randomly ordered. I’ll improve this in future versions.

Tips

  • I recommend assigning the Activator item to your quick-use menu. Opening it via the inventory might cause the game’s UI to behave unpredictably upon exiting the menu, especially on lower-end systems. (No crashes during my tests, but better safe than sorry.)
  • The mod doesn’t offer individual buttons for all 120 systems. I don’t plan to add this, as I feel most systems are “filler.” I may add a limited number of favorites/bookmarks in the future.

Languages
Although the mod is developed in English, I will maintain and update a Simplified Chinese translation myself.
Hope you enjoy this mod!
