The beacon is lit, and a new mystery is calling from the coast.

Developer Deadbolt Interactive and publisher Perp Games have officially announced P1: Anchor Light, a new anomaly-hunting horror game set in a sinister, looping lighthouse.

The game is set for a staggered release, arriving first on PC this September 9th, followed by PlayStation on October 14th, and finally making its anchor drop on Xbox consoles on November 11th, 2025. It’s that November launch that we are most interested in.

This new title promises to be an evolutionary next step for the genre, blending the tranquillity of a beautiful art-deco lighthouse with a deeply unsettling and sinister story buried within its walls.

Welcome to the PARADISE Universe

P1: Anchor Light is the first entry in a brand-new series that will explore the mysterious “PARADISE universe.” Your journey begins by entering a lavish, art-deco-inspired lighthouse, a place that is far from the paradise its universe name might suggest.

Your objective is to identify the ever-seeping anomalies that are corrupting the looping reality of the lighthouse. By spotting these disturbances, you can work to shut down the facility and finally bury its dark and morbid history. But be warned, every whispering echo you hear is a voice yearning to be heard, and the madness of the light will try to consume you.

Silence the Light, Survive the Silence

The core of the game is a tense and observant experience, where you’ll need a keen eye and steady nerves to survive.

Your primary task is to scrutinise every inch of the stunning Unreal Engine 5 environment. You will be looking for anomalies – things that are out of place or have changed from the previous loop. These disturbances can span the full spectrum, from the genuinely creepy to the darkly humorous.

But it’s not just the anomalies you need to watch out for. A unique and terrifying mechanic is at play: when the music cuts out, you must stop moving. One foot out of place during the silence can lead to your immediate demise, adding a layer of constant, heart-pounding tension to your exploration.

And then for those who wish to delve deeper into the madness, P1: Anchor Light offers a host of unlockable modes and narrative secrets, as well as placements on leaderboards.

You can unlock new ways to play with hard, nightmare, and endless modes, each designed to test your sanity in new and challenging ways. You can also immortalise your skills on the in-game leaderboards, which track the quickest completion times for the main modes and the total number of floors completed in the limitless Endless mode.

Unearthing the Narrative

You can piece together the lighthouse’s dark history by collecting Floppy Disks hidden throughout the environment. These provide a glimpse into the maddening minds of the people who once lived there and help to unfold the narrative and the horrors that seek to stop you.

A Word from the Developers

The teams at Deadbolt Interactive and Perp Games are passionate about creating a truly unsettling experience.

As long-time fans of horror and the anomaly-hunting genre, we wanted to create an experience that was more sinister and unsettling in its offering and atmosphere,” commented Antonio Alvarado, Lead Game Designer at Deadbolt Interactive, and Grant Wilde, Head of Production and Design at Perp Games. “P1: Anchor Light wears a mask of beauty, but when removed, reveals something far, far darker. To us, P1 is an evolutionary next step within the genre that we hope players will enjoy exploring.

A new story, straight out of The Twilight Zone, is about to begin. For fans of atmospheric horror and mind-bending mysteries, P1: Anchor Light is a must-watch. The signal will reach Xbox consoles on November 11th.
