A fresh infusion of steel and style has arrived in the land of Shu today, as Leenzee and 505 Games bolster the premium offering for their action-RPG, WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers with some free new content.
The first Deluxe Edition Expansion is rolling out now, delivering exclusive new costumes and weapons for Deluxe owners, while all players can claim some new headgear for free.
This new content drop is available from today, for players on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC, and further enriches the offering for those playing via Xbox Game Pass who own the Deluxe Upgrade.
New Content Forged for Deluxe Edition Owners
This first major content update is a significant value-add for anyone who owns the WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers Deluxe Edition or the Deluxe Upgrade Pack. The expansion automatically adds the following new items to your inventory:
- Two Brand-New Costumes – Forged Iron Costume and Radiant Costume
- Two Lethal New Weapons – Hooked Blade Spear and Blazing Nightlotus
This is just the first wave of new content for Deluxe owners. The developers have also confirmed that two additional costumes and two more weapons are planned to be added in the next couple of updates before the end of 2025, further expanding the value of the Deluxe Edition over time.
FREE Headgear for All Players
In a welcome move for the entire community, all owners of WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers, regardless of which edition they have, will receive two brand-new headgear items completely free of charge:
- Bo Sorcerer’s Crown
- Ming Army Helmet
This update also addresses further fixes and improvements to the game, continuing the post-launch support.
What is the Deluxe Edition?
For those looking to jump in or upgrade, the Deluxe Edition of WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers is available for £49.99. It includes the base game and a host of exclusive cosmetic and in-game items. For those playing the base game via Game Pass, the Deluxe Edition Upgrade Pack is available for £7.99 and includes all the same bonus content.
Expanding a Unique Soulslike Experience
This new content adds more variety to a game that was praised for its unique take on the Soulslike genre. The base game introduced innovative mechanics that shaped its challenging combat and exploration. In our 4/5 scored review of WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers, we said:
“WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers is a game with a lot of heart, and the developers need to be congratulated for attempting something different with the genre. The two new mechanics work well, shaping the way that you play, and while the combat is perhaps not as pin sharp as that of Elden Ring, once you have learned the attack ranges of the various weapons, there is a lot of fun to be in here.“
The addition of new weapons and armour through this Deluxe Edition expansion gives players even more tools to find their rhythm within that fun and challenging combat system.
It’s the perfect time to arm yourself with new, powerful weaponry and don a fresh set of armour before heading back into the fray.
Whether you’re a Deluxe Edition owner enjoying your new exclusive gear or a standard player sporting a new free helmet, the land of Shu has fresh rewards for all its warriors today.
As always, the usual digital stores of Xbox, PlayStation and PC will cover your needs.
