Spilled! arrives on mobile after gaining a good amount of success with positive reviews on PC. Created under the banner of Sound Games, it’s developed by solo indie Dutch developer Lente, who started working on it in 2022. It was released on PC in March 2025.
A slow drift through polluted waters that need a bit of care
Spilled! is as casual and relaxed as it gets. The loop centres on a small solar-powered boat, the one piece of equipment you rely on as you skim across different areas. These areas get progressively wider, messier, and busier.
There are eight distinct areas, and each introduces bigger oil spills and new types of waste. Spilled! moves through different biomes. Each one hides two animals that you can rescue, adding up to all 16 that appear throughout the journey.
The tasks are simple, too. Some tasks ask you to push plastic into a recycling centre or extinguish fires along the water banks. Others task you to wash oil off nearby land or just use the hose to generate snow where it is needed.
The boat also doubles as a magnet fisher for submerged oil drums and uses a boom for scooping floating bottles. Every action leads to a small currency system where cleaned waste turns into coins. The coins unlock upgrades, which you can use to expand storage, widen the oil vacuum, or tweak speed and handling.

Moving a small boat around quiet waterways and saving biome-specific animals is the main gameplay in Spilled! But all its charm, perhaps, comes from its look and feel. The visuals are some of the most beautiful in a relaxing game. And the atmosphere and music make the world easy to melt into.
