The world of Dave the Diver is about to expand once again – and come June, Dave is heading into the Jungle!
Developer Mintrocket has confirmed that the upcoming ‘In the Jungle’ DLC will launch on June 18th, bringing Dave’s next big adventure to Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
Announced alongside a fresh gameplay teaser during the Future Games Show Spring Showcase, the DLC will see Dave venture far beyond the familiar waters of the Blue Hole. This time, he’ll be exploring a lush jungle environment filled with new creatures, characters and challenges, with around 10 hours of additional content waiting to be discovered.
And if you thought the ocean depths were unpredictable, the jungle looks ready to throw up plenty of surprises.

Dave Leaves The Blue Hole Behind
The ‘In the Jungle’ DLC takes Dave to a brand-new location far removed from the Blue Hole he’s spent so much time exploring.
Players will travel to Utara, a vibrant jungle village where daily life unfolds in real-time. Here, Dave can explore surrounding lakes and forests, gather fruit and resources, and help locals with tasks and side quests.
Building relationships with the villagers is key. As Dave earns their trust, new opportunities open up throughout the settlement, influencing both the village itself and the wider restaurant business back home.
It’s a new environment, but still unmistakably Dave the Diver at heart.
A Freshwater Dive Into Danger
One of the biggest gameplay changes in the DLC comes from the shift in environment.
Instead of the ocean depths, Dave will now explore a massive freshwater lake, home to entirely new aquatic life and unexpected threats. Naturally, new creatures also mean new culinary opportunities.
But the jungle waters aren’t always peaceful. The deeper Dave dives, the more danger awaits, requiring new tools to survive the unfamiliar ecosystem.
Meet The Jungle Gun
To help tackle the new challenges, Mintrocket is introducing a versatile new weapon: the Jungle Gun.
This unique tool can transform between multiple forms depending on the situation, including that of a Net gun, Shotgun (we feel a bit of Duck Hunt is essential), Sniper, and Standard firearm. The flexibility allows players to adapt to encounters on the fly, encouraging experimentation with different combat styles while exploring the jungle depths.
Bancho Grill Opens Its Doors
The DLC also introduces a brand-new restaurant experience in Bancho Grill, located right in the heart of Utara.
Unlike Bancho Sushi in the base game, the new restaurant allows Dave to move freely around the space, serving customers across different areas rather than along a single serving line. The menu also shifts to focus on freshwater cuisine, using ingredients gathered from the jungle lake.
As Dave’s relationships with the villagers deepen, many of them will begin visiting the restaurant themselves, turning Bancho Grill into a central hub for the community.
New Physical Editions For Collectors
Alongside the DLC announcement, Mintrocket has also revealed two physical editions of Dave the Diver for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch, in partnership with Silver Lining Direct.
The Complete Edition will include the base game and all DLC content – including In the Jungle – on one disc or cartridge.
Meanwhile, the Collector’s Edition is packed with themed extras, including:
- Bancho Sushi acrylic standee
- Four metal pin badges
- Acrylic keyring
- Dolphin pendant necklace
- Marinca cards
- Poster and postcards
Both editions are now available for pre-order and will launch alongside the DLC this summer.
A Perfect Time To Dive Back In?
Since its release, Dave the Diver has become something of a cult favourite thanks to its unique blend of exploration, restaurant management and quirky storytelling.

Now, with In the Jungle launching on June 18th, players will soon have an entirely new region to explore, fresh creatures to discover, and another helping of Bancho’s culinary chaos to enjoy.
Dave might be leaving the ocean behind this time, but his next adventure looks just as deep.
