Ask anyone about Lemmings, and their first memories, would probably be about a bunch of blue and green haired Lemmings that could be blown up, ripped apart and dropped from the highest of points before they even hope to reach that exit. So why is that great game getting another mention on Indie Retro News? Well late next month it looks as if Jörg Karwath and team will be releasing an enhanced version of Lemmings for the C64. A new version that can be seen in the very latest footage provided below.
Not only is this fan remake called Lemmings Reloaded, with programming by Jörg Karwath. But it also features over 123 themed levels, such as a jungle and demonic underground with pixel art from The Wilds creator @JohnHen65953721, an hours worth of 30 music tracks by @Nordischsound, new themes and C64 exclusives, turbo modes for the C64U and C128, and yes even 1351 mouse support. And that’s all we know so far but as soon as we know more, expect a brand new fresh article to go with the final release!
