London gets a sky-high Pokémon makeover
Pokémon have taken over south-east London’s cable cars with Pokémon art and other surprises for fans to discover. Each car features a different Pokémon type, while there are even more secrets in and around the station. It coincides with a big weekend of Poké-nonsense, as the Pokémon World Championships 2022 and a pop-up shop come to Excel London.
The Pokémon cable cars run between the stations Royal Docks and Greenwich Peninsula. You can get to Royal Docks via the DLR station Royal Victoria, while to get to Greenwich Peninsula, you need to take the Jubilee line to North Greenwich. You can plan a journey here. Hopefully, your adventure is smoother than Ash’s first venture out of Pallet Town. We doubt there’s a Misty around to fish you out of the Thames.
With the Pokémon cable cars, world championships, and pop-up shop, any fans nearby probably feel pretty spoiled. This also comes days after the news of the Pokémon Company’s donation of $25 million to charities that improve the quality of life for children around the world.
