Crossplay is in the works for Terraria, but not assured to happen
If you’ve been longing to play Terraria with your friends across any/all platforms, we have some good news for you. Crossplay is indeed being worked on for the game, although there’s no details on when it will arrive.
Re-Logic founder Andrew ‘Redigit’ Spinks has confirmed that crossplay for Terraria is “in the works,” but obviously, there are hurdles for the team to overcome. Going along with that, Re-logic vice president Whitney ‘Cenx’ Spinks added that crossplay “is not guaranteed,” but the team “really want to make it happen”.
Hopefully the developers can figure how to bring all versions of Terraria together so fans can dig in no matter what platform they’re playing on. We’ll bring you any further updates on these efforts should they arrive.
