Love Live School Idol Project Shuts Down Before 10th Anniversary
Love Live School Idol Festival is due to be shut down in March. It’s pretty sad news for fans of the gacha game, and the Love Live franchise itself. It’s almost ten years old, but unfortunately it isn’t going to reach that special milestone.
When is the Game Shutting Down?
All servers for the game will shut down at 4pm JST on March 31. This sadly means players will lose all progress in the game, as well as all of the cash that they may have sunk into it.
The main cause for the shutdown is that the second game is just around the corner! Luckily, this means fans of the franchise and game are able to move on to a better version, but it does mean that the original is lost to time.
The game originally came out in 2013 on April 15 – it’s so close to the ten year mark. We don’t know exactly the release date for the second installment in the series, but we predict it will come out around the ten year anniversary date – hopefully!
