Modder builds portable GameCube/Wii with reactive RGB
If there’s one thing I know about the computer scene nowadays, it’s the obsession with RGB. Those who build their own computers are heavy into RGB elements, picking up cases, wires, fans and more that all feature a dazzling array of lights. Now it seems that mentality is bleeding over to the console gaming side of things.
We’ve seen hardware modders craft portable Wiis and GameCubes numerous times in the past, but the latest creation adds a bit of pizazz with some very flashy lighting. The modders at Shank Mods weren’t satisfied with adding a few twinkling lights to their hardware, but instead, made something that reacts to the on-screen action.
As you’ll see in the video above, this portable Wii/GameCube mod features reactive RGB, which means the colors of the hardware change depending on what’s happening on-screen. We’ve seen TVs that have this feature in recent years, with lights behind the screen that flash along with the on-screen action. Now there’s a portable Nintendo creation that does just the same!
Sure, it might be a bit distracting for others when you’re playing, but something like this RGB mod will no doubt immerse you into your gaming experience that much more!
