About Breathing Techniques

Breathing is the magic system of the human and Demon Slayer branch of Demon Slayer Midnight Sun. The demon equivalent is the Blood Demon Art. You start off with no breathing abilities, but you can acquire a style of technique by visiting one of several trainers scattered around the map and consulting their wisdom to learn.

Breathing Technique Elements

Each of the techniques are attached to a different element and taught by a different trainer. We’ll go over each of these briefly. You can also check out where we rank them in our Project Mugetsu tier list, though your mileage may vary!

Flame Breathing

This is taught by the Fire Trainer who lives ahead of the gate of Yohikawa Village. It grants the following moves.

• Unknowing Flame
• Inferno Dragon
• Rising Scorching Sun
• Horizontal Slash

Mist Breathing

This is taught by the Mist Trainer who lives in a cave near the Tundra area, south of Yohikawa village gate.

• Distance Haze
• Eight Layered Mist

Moon Breathing

Sound Breathing

This is taught by the Sound Trainer who resides alongside the Water Trainer in a village to the North-East of Yohikawa Village gate, head right from the Fire Trainer.

Thunder Breathing

This is taught by the Thunder Trainer, who lives to the East of Yohikawa Village gate.

This is taught by the Water Trainer who resides alongside the Sound Trainer in a village to the North-East of Yohikawa Village gate, head right from the Fire Trainer.
