Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp director says he’d like to work on Kuru Kuru Kururin
WayForward’s Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp was finally released a couple of weeks ago. Getting the chance to resurrect a beloved Nintendo owned property was clearly meaningful to the dev team, but what else might they like to work on given the chance?
In a new interview with MinnMax, Re-Boot Camp director James Montagna is asked which Nintendo franchise he’d most like to handle following Advance Wars. It turns out, his #1 choice is Kuru Kuru Kururin, the Game Boy Advance puzzle game. See his thoughts on why below:
If you’re not familiar with Kuru Kuru Kururin, there’s good news – Nintendo just added this somewhat obscure title to the Nintendo Switch Online’s Game Boy Advance library. You can go play it right now if you’ve got an NSO Expansion Pass subscription, just in case you want to prepare for a potential remake.
In addition to Kuru Kuru Kururin, Montagna also calls out Rhythm Heaven, Wario Ware, and Chibi-Robo as possible contenders. Which property would you like to see WayForward tackle, and do you think Nintendo will give WayForward the keys to another franchise in the near future? Share your thoughts in the comments.
