The Pokémon Local Acts initiative installs 6 more “Poké Lid” manhole covers

2022 was a great year for the Pokémon Local Acts initiative, and clearly the organization has a lot more to share in 2023. As of today, we’ve learned that 6 more Pokémon-themed manhole covers will be making their way to Japan’s Hokkaido prefecture very soon!

This organization’s goal is to beautify certain areas of Japan, while also attracting tourists to areas. One of the big efforts of the PLA has been replacing manhole covers with covers that spotlight Pokémon, and it’s been a great success so far.

This time around, covers featuring Vulpix and Alolan Vulpix will be created. Each cover will feature Vulpix with another Pokémon, and you can see all 6 designs above.
