Chapter 3
Take the train from Chapter 2, i.e. Hiraya’s Station, to make it to Chapter 3.
Level 1.1
(Your first level teleporter is available right as you exit the train.)
Go down the stairs, turn right, and you’ll find an area where you have to arrange three color images into a full-color image. You can flip two of the levers right away – they will be right in front of you.
The third lever is inaccessible for now, but not for long. Go past the levers, behind the wall with the purple vines, and you’ll find an image you can realize by standing in the right perspective.
Go around the wall and you’ll find that the area with the third lever is now accessible. Go there and flip the third lever.
Stand in front of the purple vines now and face the image so that you realize the image, which represents a bridge. Cross the bridge to get to the other side.
Continue through the next area until you find a teleporter that requires three batteries to charge. You only have one, which is on the pad.
Go to the right to find a photograph on a table near a gramphone and a sofa. Pick up the photo.
Apply the photo where convenient and step into the created area, where you’ll find a camera advertisement on a coffee table. Pick it up.
‘Place’ the advertisement where convenient and pick up the camera from there. Return to the teleporter’s pad and take a picture of the battery twice.
Apply the pictures of the battery where convenient, so that you can acquire two more batteries to use on the pad. Pick them up, put them on the pad, and use the teleporter to move on.
Level 2.1
(The teleporter for this level is in the back of the workshop).
Go right and take a picture of the area past the gap. Make sure you capture the ceiling that stretches from your platform to the next one.
Aim the resulting photograph, rotate it 180 degrees, and apply the image where convenient. Step on the pathway (the former ceiling) and go to the other platform.
On the other side of the wall of the second platform, you’ll find a teleporter, but it’s on the wall. Take a picture of the teleporter and the wall it’s on.
Apply the image where convenient, after rotating it so that the teleporter is upright. Hop onto the platform and use the teleporter to move on.
Level 2.2
This is a straightforward level. Take a picture of the ground, and then place it so as to bridge the gap to the teleporter.
Level 2.3
Another straightforward level. Take a picture of the stairs while standing in the purple bushes, so that the stairs lead up to the right.
Go up the stairs and apply the image so that the stairs lead you up to the platform with the teleporter.
Level 2.4
Yet another straightforward level. Look up and take a picture of the upside-down teleporter.
Now look to your feet and apply the image to fall straight through and land on, or near, the teleporter.
Level 2.5
Take a picture of the sky and apply it on the metal grating, so that you can access the inaccessible area.
Next, go up the stairs and you’ll find a battery placed on a pedestal. Or well, a pillar. Take a picture of the battery.
Now apply the image somewhere above you, but remember to rotate the image 180 degrees. This way, the battery will fall out of the image and onto your floor.
Repeat this process for a second battery and then carry both (black-and-white) batteries to the teleporter pad. Put them in place and use the teleporter to complete the level.
Level 3.1
(To find the teleporter for Level 3, go up the stairs. The teleporter is on the middle floor by some bird cages).
Go forward to find your way blocked by metal grating. Take a picture of the sky and apply it on the grating to ‘cut’ through it and access the area beyond.
Proceed down the path to find a teleporter on the wall – and no film to take a picture of it with.
Continue down the path and you’ll find some camera film on a desk, near a gramophone. Pick up the camera film.
Now return to the teleporter and take a picture of it. Aim the image, rotate it so that the teleporter is upright, and then step on to proceed.
Level 3.2
Take a picture of the platform with the battery, but make sure you don’t include the gap in the shot.
Place the image across the gap, so that you can both access the color battery and gain a new black-and-white battery.
Put the batteries on the pad and use the teleporter.
Level 3.3
From where you start, go right to find a battery. You only have the film for one photograph though, so don’t take a picture just yet. Pick up the battery.
Take the battery to the other side of this area and place it just before the gap, close towards the wall. Now step back and take a picture so that you capture the wall, the teleporter, the battery, AND the pad.
Place the image where convenient and move the color battery as well as the black-and-white battery on the teleporter pad.
Step through the teleporter to return to the Hub World.
Level 4.1
(The Level 4 teleporter can be found on the same middle floor as the Level 3 teleporter. Look for a mahjong table and the teleporter is right beyond it.)
Flip the lever here to enable the teleporter and then turn around.
Go past the blackboard, to the other side of the wall with the hole.
Look through the hole and take a picture that includes the teleporter, the lever, and the power line connecting them.
Place this image where convenient and step through to use the teleporter. Of course, make sure that the teleporter is upright before you place the image!
Level 4.2
This level is similar to the one before, just from a different perspective. Go ahead and flip the lever.
Now go to the opposite end of the area from the lever and aim towards the lever with your camera. Make sure you get the teleporter and the wall in the shot.
Aim the image, turn it so that the teleporter is upright, step into the image, and use the teleporter to move on.
Level 4.3
Turn around and take a picture of the path ahead of you.
Stand in the middle of the path, and then apply this image perpendicular to the path.
Go into the image and stand at the very end of the black-and-white path.
From here, take a picture that includes the lever, the teleporter, and the power line.
Aim and rotate this image 180 degrees, and apply it where convenient.
Step into the image, flip the lever, and use the teleporter.
Level 4.4
Look to your left and drop down to the floor with the lever on the wall. Flip the lever.
From the lever, look behind to find a photograph of a platform on a corkboard. Pick it up and look down the edge to the left.
Now place the image so that it’s beyond the power line. Drop down onto the platform.
Look up and you should see the powerline, the lever, and the teleporter. Take a picture that includes all three.
Place this image at your feet to fall through and land near the teleporter.
Level 5.1
(The teleporter for Level 5 is located near the gym area on the middle floor, next to a yellow ladder).
Here you’ll find a pressure pad that will enable the teleporter, but only temporarily. Before you step on it, take a picture of the sky and ‘cut’ through the inaccessible area.
Now step on the pressure pad and quickly get to the teleporter to use it and move on.
Level 5.2
Head to the lever and pull it. This powers the power bank, which in turn powers the teleporter.
Go to the teleporter area and take a picture of both the teleporter and the power bank in one shot. Apply the image where convenient and accessible.
Quickly run to the teleporter before the power bank runs out. Use the teleporter to move on.
Level 5.3
Take a picture that includes the teleporter, the power bank, and the pressure pad.
Aim this image where convenient, and place it so that the pressure pad is upright and the teleporter is upside-down.
Step into the picture and then stand on the pressure pad. With the teleporter powered on, take a picture that includes both the power bank and the teleporter.
Place this image so that the teleporter is upright, and then quickly use the teleporter to move on.
Level 5.4
Stand on the pressure pad to power up the power bank.
Step off the power bank and quickly take a picture of the teleporter and the power bank (before the power bank depletes too much).
Place this image where convenient so that the teleporter is upright, then quickly run to the teleporter and use it to move on.
Level 5.5
Head left and follow the power line to the pressure pad. Stand on it to power the power bank. Look across the gap for the teleporter and power bank.
With the teleporter and power bank powered on, take a picture that includes the both of them.
Place this image at your feet, so that you fall towards the teleporter. Use the teleporter quickly to move on.
Level 6.1
(The teleporter for Level 6 is on the top floor of this Hub World. Go up the stairs to the top and look left.)
Go through the open doorway and towards the stairs. Then, return the way you came.
Turn right and head towards the stairs.
Follow the red-brick corridor until you come out to where the teleporter is. Go to the right of the teleporter to find an opening in the fence.
Use the teleporter to move on.
Level 6.2
This weird level requires you to find a secret before you can cross the gap. First, begin by going to the stairs (ignore the little open space with the pillars for now).
Go up the stairs, continue on and approach the area in the screenshot below. This will form a staircase for you to go up. Continue on in this corridor.
Turn left at the end of this path to find the teleporter straight ahead. Go towards it.
Then return the way you came to find have another staircase appear on the path.
Go up it, turn right, and continue on till you find the sign of a bird on the floor. Take a leap of faith from that sign and a walkway should appear right at your feet.
Continue on from here and you’ll find a wall with the secret marked on it. This diagram informs you of the path you have to follow in the garden of pillars, in order to realize the way to the teleporter.
Return to the garden of pillars and follow the path shown in the mural above. Then, head towards the teleporter to have the path be realized.
Use the teleporter to move on.
Level 6.3
Go right to find a battery on a pedestal, beyond a fence with a hole. Do NOT approach the battery.
Instead, look opposite the battery to find a camera. Take the path to the right of the camera. Keep going until you find a ‘fake’ wall, and an opening to camera area.
Head over and take a picture of the battery. Do not place this photograph anywhere just yet.
You can now approach the color battery if you like. Otherwise, head on to the teleporter.
From a distance, place the photograph in the air but with the floor turned upside-down. This way, the battery will fall out of the photo and onto the real world floor.
Move the black-and-white battery onto the pressure pad and use the teleporter to complete this level.
Hub World
There are no optional levels in Chapter 3, so return to the train and use it to move on to Chapter 4!
