Volatility is a retro styled Sci-Fi action adventure where you search for your purpose in a collapsing artificial world.

Drawing inspiration from 90’s and early 2000’s metroidvanias and adventure games, Volatility is a narrative-driven action adventure that blends different game styles. You’re a headless entity who awakens in a decaying artificial world and sets out in search of answers promised to you by a mysterious stranger.

The gameplay in Volatility blends combat, platforming and puzzle solving. It also allows you to swap between top-down and third person perspectives, and there’s even a little on-rails shooting. As you progress you’ll learn new abilities, collect secret treasures and help other survivors.

It lacks a little polish and the combat could be improved, but other than that it’s a very promising game. Its doomed artificial world is a fascinating place and it’s got a very unique feel. The retro styled visuals work really well and it has a nice mixture of exploration and action. An intriguing Sci-Fi adventure well worth checking out.
