Post Trauma is a Resident Evil-like slated for 2024 release on PC and consoles
Take one look at the brand-new gameplay trailer for RED SOUL GAMES’ Post Trauma (through your fingers, if you are squeamish) and you’ll instantly draw similarities to the first few Resident Evil titles. Creepy buildings, third-person view with a far-away camera. And of course the freakish monsters. It’s all there.
The Next Big Horror?
Detailed in Gamescom’s Opening Night Live Showcase, Post Trauma is brought to us by publishers Raw Fury. It’s a real tribute to classic horror games with their trademark fixed camera angles. Think Silent Hill and of course Resi.
All with a modern touch, mind you. Raw Fury are keen to point out the high-quality environments and smooth controls. The latter of which has always seemed to evade the genre’s past! It’s all powered by Unreal Engine 5, which is sure to make many gamers automatically sit up and take notice.
Key Features
- Play as Roman, a middle-aged train conductor, as he tries to understand and escape the surreal world he’s trapped in.
- Classic horror games mechanics get a modern twist, blending fixed camera angles with a truly modern presentation and control types, including optional tank controls.
- Immerse yourself in beautifully unsettling environments and a deeply consuming audio landscape.
- Solve puzzles and riddles with the information you will gather exploring your surroundings to progress in the game and try to explain what is happening to you and the world around you.
- Unravel haunting mysteries and face or escape nightmarish creatures at every turn.
It’s a true horror experience, and certainly not one for the faint-hearted!
