E.D.F. Special – An Amiga proof of concept inspired by the game E.D.F. from SNES and the arcade
If you’re fed up with all the Christmas news, then how about this news story that’s just been sent to us by Saberman, it’s S0Y’s latest game development of ‘E.D.F. Special’: An early alpha tease of a new arcade shoot ’em up that’s based on the original SNES version of Jaleco and created in RedPill! To coincide with this news, while the developer has provided some info about the game, you can see the latest footage of this proof of concept showing waves of enemies, different bullets, and the smallest of level teases.
And here’s the latest about the game from S0Y. “Proof of concept inspired by the game E.D.F. from SNES and the arcade, it is NOT and will not be a port. It is an alpha version, so there may be bugs. New advances with new optimizations such as 32 colors with AGA features (24 bit color depth, AGA fetch mode, etc.), 020/14MHz, 25FPS, CD32 audio-tracks, 5 levels of parallax scrolling and finally optimizations in speed and performance under 020/14 MHz (Zener implementations)”
