Round 26 — Assassin’s Creed Mirage vs Diablo IV
Today, Assassin’s Creed Mirage goes up against Diablo IV, which could prove for an interesting round. Ubisoft took the series back to its roots with Mirage, stripping back the massive open world and heavier RPG elements found in its recent Assassin’s Creed releases. This appears to have gone down well with most players, but some have found the more manageable experience rather forgettable.
As for Diablo IV, the action-RPG took the world by storm in June this year, and we think it could cast Mirage down to the depths of Hell in this round. Diablo IV was praised for the gameplay improvements it made over Diablo III, visuals, and writing. However, the game does get a bit repetitive in places, especially early on, and some of the boss battles are a little lackluster.
While this just-for-fun knockout tournament is a way to get some discussion kicking off around 2023’s best Xbox games, we are running the annual TrueAchievements Game of the Year Awards, so make sure you get your votes in there too!
