Apex Legends has banned over 200k accounts since implementing new anti-cheat measures
Back in June, EA and Respawn put a whole new anti-cheat system in place for Apex Legends, and it appears that some serious housekeeping has been done since.
In a new transparency report, it was revealed that over 200k Apex Legends accounts have been banned through the new anti-cheat measures. Specifically, more than 6 million accounts have been banned since the game launched, and more than 100,000 accounts are banned each month on average.
In June and July combined, roughly 193k accounts were banned for cheating, and another 16.5k accounts were banned for bot activity. Over 205k of those bans were permanent, leaving the remaining 4.3k with temporary bans.
