Official Earthbound Converse All Stars revealed

2024 marks 30 years since Earthbound launched on the Super Nintendo. To be more specific, the landmark RPG arrived on the Super Famicom in Japan August 27th, 1994, but it wouldn’t see localization here in the states until June 5th, 1995. Still, we’re celebrating the 30th anniversary of the game’s initial launch this year, and plenty of goodies have already dropped.

The latest bit of MOTHER/Earthbound merch revealed may be one of the most enticing creations yet, as it’s an incredible mix of fashion and fandom. As you can see above, the classic Converse All Star sneakers are being given an Earthbound makeover, and the theme is all about Mr. Saturn. No price has been revealed for these sneakers just yet.

Wondering where you can pick up a pair of these bad boys? For now, all that we know is they’ll be a part of the Earthbound merch collection at the Hobonichi-sponsored content festival, “The Joys of Life.” There has been an Earthbound-themed booth/store at this even since 2022, and the 2025 version will be called “MOTHER’s BAZAAAAR!!.” It’s been announced that a multitude of new Earthbound products will be up for grabs at the festival, but only the Converse collab has been revealed at this time.
