When is Black Friday 2024?
For 2024, Black Friday takes place on November 29. This is a little later than usual due to the fact that it always follows Thanksgiving, which falls on November 29 this year. The sales will run through the whole weekend (though often the best deals are reserved for the day itself). This year will also see the rare instance of Cyber Monday falling outside of November. This follow-up sales event always takes place on the Monday after Black Friday, and in this case that is December 2.
How do I find the best Black Friday deals?
Well, the easiest way to find the best deals is to bookmark this page and come back nearer the time. We will be curating a selection of deals and showcasing them all here on this page. Of course, if you want some tips for your own virtual shopping sessions this November, here’s what to be conscious of:
- Some sites inflate the ‘original’ price to make the discount look more generous than it is. Crosscheck against other websites to see if the retailer you’re being one lists a higher original place than other sites. A good point of reference is Nintendo’s own website to see base-level costs.
- Although we will be listing deals from across the internet, there’s a lot to be found on the Nintendo eShop too. If you browse on your Switch and add any games you want to your wishlist, Nintendo will email you if/when they go on offer.
- Be wary of fakes. Nintendo products don’t often get huge discounts, and if you see something that, for example, looks like an official Switch Pro Controller at 75% off, there’s a good chance it is a fake. Read product descriptions carefully and look out for an explicit statement that it is an official Nintendo product.
- Be mindful that deals often only run as long as stocks last. If you’re thinking of buying something that you see on offer, make sure that you don’t spend too much time thinking about it, because you might miss your opportunity.
