Pop Culture Jeopardy! pays tribute to Nintendo in its intro

Jeopardy’s most recent spin-off went live this week on Amazon Prime. Pop Culture Jeopardy! is just what it sounds like, as in it plays just like Jeopardy!, but the focus is on pop culture. That pop culture focus is even found in the show’s intro, as is a nod to the Big N..

Pop Culture Jeopardy! starts off with the Jeopardy! logo portrayed in a bunch of different pop culture styles. The logo runs the gamut with TV shows, comics, movies and more, and it also throws in a wonderful homage to Nintendo. The exact logo used is above, and it’s clearly inspired by both Nintendo in general and Super Mario specifically.

Not surprisingly, the show itself also dabbles with game-related questions as well. For example, one question was related to Resident Evil, and there’s sure to be many more game-related questions as the series continues. Let’s hope there’s an all-Nintendo category in the near future!
