Xbox Countdown Sale 2024 — five cheap Xbox games under $10

There is a lot on sale at the moment, so to help you find a great game to play at a great price, we’ve highlighted some of the Xbox Countdown Sale 2024’s best games under $10. These are our personal picks, so they won’t necessarily be seen on our list of the best Xbox games, but they’re games we think are a good bit of fun without breaking the bank.

Xbox Countdown Sale’s best games under $10

The Xbox Countdown Sale 2024 is a monster, offering discounts of up to 90% in some cases and making it a great time to add a few new additions to your collection in time for the holidays. For a full look at everything on sale at the moment, we’ve got a roundup of more than 1,500 game deals in this year’s Xbox Countdown Sale, as well as further dives into the DLC and game bundles on sale too.

EA Sports PGA Tour

I love a good golf game, and EA Sports PGA Tour is the best of the lot. The “exclusive home of the Majors,” EA Sports PGA Tour is the only game that allows you to tee off at the Masters Tournament, The Open Championship, the PGA Championship, and the U.S. Open with either your own created golfer or a selection of pros.

Aside from the excellent courses and the wonderful visuals, what really makes EA Sports PGA Tour is the gameplay. EA’s Pure Strike system, which is powered by PGA Tour ShotLink and TrackMan data, offers realistic golf swings that really allow you to shape your shots and approach any situation the way you want. On top of this, the career mode is much more comprehensive and far superior to PGA Tour 2K23.

If you’re interested, EA Sports PGA Tour is included with Game Pass Ultimate via EA Play. However, the Deluxe Edition is currently on sale for just $8.49 / £8.49 / €9.49, which is an absolute bargain in my eyes.

Inscryption

Inscryption is one of those games that you need to go into completely blind — seriously, stop reading this and just buy it. Described as an “inky black card-based odyssey that blends the deckbuilding roguelike, escape-room style puzzles, and psychological horror into a blood-laced smoothie,” Inscryption is truly something special.

It’s unsettling, tense, and filled with continuously evolving mechanics that keep the card game feeling fresh. I honestly can’t say much more than that because it’ll spoil the fun, but trust me, Inscryption is well worth the $7.99 / £6.69 / €7.99 it’s currently listed for on the Xbox store.

Jurassic World Evolution

As much as I enjoyed the sequel, it’s still the first Jurassic World Evolution game which is my favorite — a good thing, too, since it’s also the cheapest of the two on this sale at 90% off. This game really went a good way towards capturing that Jurassic Park thrill. The rainy night, the stormy sky as you unleash your first T-Rex into the park and hear that iconic roar — it’s great stuff.

The game also caters to whichever way you like to play your park, making the best haven you can for your creatures or watching the chaos unfold as they break out yet again. Either way, you’re put in charge of bioengineering a wide range of dinosaurs and building the best park you can while juggling the demands of the Science, Entertainment, or Security factions, and the demands of your guests.

Along with sorting fossils and DNA sequencing, modifying dinosaurs, guest attractions, and an (admittedly fairly limited) design aspect to the park itself, you also have to sort the emergency response for your dinosaur breakouts. You can even control the helicopters to handle things yourself. Add to this that some of the movie’s main cast return in their roles (everybody loves a Jeff Goldblum voiceover) and it all makes for some excellent dino fun.

Jurassic World Evolution is on sale for 90% off at $4.99 / £3.99 / €4.99.

Crime Boss: Rockay City

Crime Boss: Rockay City had a terrible launch, arriving to mixed reviews and the unflattering accolade as one of 2023’s worst games. Despite its dire start to life, Ingame Studios has toiled over the first-person shooter, and it’s now remarkably fun. I dived into Crime Boss: Rockay City earlier this year after a plethora of updates and had a blast.

There are two modes available: a Payday-style multiplayer mode where up to four players attempt to pull off daring heists and a single-player roguelike mode. I personally prefer the campaign because it’s filled with a ton of actors I grew up watching. The Risk-style roguelike gameplay offers a decent amount of replayability as you slowly level up.

If you’re looking to start a new game without breaking the bank, I recommend giving Crime Boss a shot. It’s a good bit of goofy fun and there is loads of content on the way in 2025 too. Sadly, the DLC isn’t free anymore, but if you grabbed it while it was, you’ll have everything you need for the completion!

Crime Boss: Rockay City is on sale for 50% off at $9.99 / £7.99 / €9.99.

Gunfire Reborn

I had a blast with Gunfire Reborn when it launched into Xbox Game Pass in 2022. It’s since left the service, so if you enjoy roguelike shooters and fancy taking a look, this is a great time to add it to your collection. Gunfire Reborn is a co-op roguelike first-person shooter for up to four players, and tasks you with blasting your way through procedurally generated levels to battle it out with various boss enemies.

It can be difficult to start with, but once you begin unlocking new characters and finding your playstyle with the plethora of upgradable weapons found throughout the game, it becomes a vibrantly colorful thrill ride that’s hard to put down. I adored Gunfire Reborn and would recommend it to anyone looking for a game to drop in and out of.

Gunfire Reborn is on sale for 50% off at $9.99 / £8.99 / €9.99.
