Nintendo has already announced a host of their top-tier franchises for Switch 2. On the new side of things we have Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza, and on the old front we have Switch 2 Editions of games like Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Kirby and the Forgotten Land and many others. We even have 100% new experiences like Drag x Drive and Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour. Still, even with all that revealed, Nintendo fans want more. Not surprisingly, Nintendo already has more in the works.
Were you hoping to see a brand-new mainline Mario title on the Switch 2? How about a fresh installment of Animal Crossing or Splatoon? While Nintendo isn’t willing to share specifics on what they’re cooking up, Nintendo made it very clear that your favorites are on the way.
Here’s what Nintendo of America president Doug Bowser had to say in a CNN interview when asked about where the next Mario title is.
“Stay tuned. You know, we have a long, long catalog, and a long list of (intellectual property) that I’m sure will make its way to the platform.”

Nintendo is known for not just revisiting their top-tier brands, but also innovative with them and offering fresh takes. We’re already seeing that on Switch 2, and as many probably guessed, we’re just at the tip of the iceberg.
