A GBA game grows even more advanced


WayForward Technologies has a long history of game development, but they also have an unfortunate history of releasing acclaimed games late in a system’s life and seeing their hard work go unnoticed. One such example: Sigma Star Saga, a Game Boy Advance cartridge that launched after the Nintendo DS ostensibly replaced that older handheld.

With WayForward bringing back Sigma Star Saga in 2025 for modern audiences, host Stuart Gipp talked to Matt Bozon and Adam Tierney about that game and what it takes to reexamine 20-year-old work.
