Bubble Investor tasks players with making big money by betting on globules of air before they blow up on you.
I have played a variety of games where you need to watch your investments and have a bit of luck in order to achieve something. This is one of those high risk, high reward games where you need to have a bit of luck and a bit of strategy on your side – or you might just run out of money.
I played a preview build of this game at BIG Conf where I watched other people make bad decisions and gain money by the skin of their teeth. It’s got a real “one more go” to it. The gameplay itself is pretty simple; you need to use your investments to bet on a bubble. As the bubble gets bigger, you’ll get more money, but you need to cash out before the bubble itself pops. If the bubble pops, you lose both the bubble and your own money.
There is a shop where you can invest in a variety of different bubbles that have their own multipliers and risks attached to them, from bubbles that have massive increases when they hit a specific size or ones that are more durable at a lower amount. It’s all down to how you want to play. You can end up taking out loans through lawyers that recover some of your money on failed bubbles, but there is a lot of growth that needs to be done in order to make your investments actually worth it!
Some of Bubble Investor does feel down to luck and how much you want to risk, but that’s what keeps things interesting in this game. I do like that you can reroll your shop if there are truly no bubbles you are interested in to make sure that you are getting something worth purchasing.
