Embracer goes on spending spree: buys Lord of the Rings IP rights, Tripwire Interactive, and extra

Embracer Group, the guardian firm for an unlimited and increasing roster of studios and publishers together with THQ Nordic, Gearbox, Plaion (previously Koch Media) and Saber Interactive, has introduced it can purchase Middle-earth Enterprises, which principally means it owns IP rights for The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, and a bunch of different Middle-earth associated stuff the corporate would not even find out about, but. The buy value is undisclosed “due to commercial reasons”. 

To be clear: the acquisition will not imply Embracer Group will personal J.R.R. Tolkien’s precise literary works, which stay the property of the Tolkien Estate.
