CDPR Announces New-Gen Update for The Witcher III: Wild Hunt
We may have to wait a while before we can get our hands on the next Witcher game, but CDPR has something to keep fans satiated for the upcoming Christmas season.
As per an official announcement, a new-gen update for The Witcher III: Wild Hunt is coming this December 14, and it will bring native resolution for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Here’s the post:
What’s great is, the update will come for free for anyone who already owns the game. Not many details have been revealed, but you can tune into the Twitch stream here for specifics next week.
An upgrade of The Witcher III has been something fans have been waiting for ever since the new-gen of consoles launched. With Bethesda managing to re-release Skyrim repeatedly, what’s stopping CDPR from banking on the game that was their big break? Hopefully with Wild Hunt and the upcoming remake of the first Witcher game, a lot of hype can be built for the release of the actual sequel in the next few years.
Here’s the official description:

The new-gen update comes out on Dec. 14. The Witcher III: Wild Hunt is currently playable for PlayStation 4|5, PC, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X|S.
