The OTHER Walking Dead VR game… The WORST VR zombie game? // Quest 2 PC VR Gameplay
We have TWO awesome Walking Dead VR games in the Saints and Sinners series but did you know we also have ANOTHER VR Walking Dead game that no one talks about… A Walking Dead VR game based on the TV show with characters like Rick Grimes, Michonne and Daryl Dixon all making an appearance… Surely something like this would be the BEST VR zombie game ever right?! Well…..no. Sadly The Walking Dead Onslaught VR, which released in 2020, sits on Steam with a “mixed” rating after only 751 reviews and is pretty much forgotten at this point whilst Walking Dead Saints & Sinners continues to dominate the VR zombie game genre. The Walking Dead Onslaught is a strange game, it’s far from being the best VR zombie game with it’s arcadey approach, lack of physical interactions and linear repetitive levels BUT it’s also far from being the worst VR zombie game with it’s decent zombie models, upgradable weapons and replayable scavenger mode.
It’s probably the best example of 5 out of 10, it’s nothing amazing but it doesn’t completely drop the ball either, a fun little Walking Dead VR experience if you can pick it up for £15 or less! This Walking Dead Onslaught VR gameplay was captured using a Quest 2 but the game is only available on PC so you’ll need a VR compatible PC to experience this one.
