Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Officially Delayed (Again)

Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad game had already been delayed to May, but after reports of backlash after the game’s latest big reveal, it looks like the studio is going to be pushing the release back even further.

As per the official announcement, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is now set to come out for new-gen consoles on February 2, 2024. Here’s the post:

We don’t have any official details as to why the game has been delayed, but you can expect this kind of reaction with all the online backlash, including the reveal of what looked to be a Battle Pass, and the game said to be requiring a constant internet connection.

With Rocksteady being lauded for their work on the Arkham games, you can bet that the pressure is on for the studio to deliver something bombastic with Suicide Squad, and early reactions from the latest reveal have not been kind to the game. I guess for all the praises that Arkham City got, fans still remember that the trilogy kind of ended on a dry note with the underwhelming Arkham Knight.

Either way, I’m rooting for Rocksteady to pull off the game. After the mediocre reviews that Gotham Knights got when it launched, I’m sure there are a lot of fans that want to return to the world of Rocksteady’s Arkham, especially with this interesting batch of characters.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is set to release for Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC on Feb. 2, 2024.
